For the 2007-2008 school year, more than 90% of 7-12 students at Gehlen Catholic are involved in one or more co-curricular activities.

The only Class 1A school in the State of Iowa to have all four fall sports qualified for State in the same season

Home to numerous State athletic champions

Josh Vaske & Catherine Pratt were selected in the past two years for the People to People Program (both national & international)

Dance Team consistently earned top honors at State for their performances & academic accomplishments

Math Teams & Quiz Bowls have earned several top honors

Marissa Schlichte competed at the International Lions Club Peace Poster Contest in 2006-2007 school year

8th grade speech team earned all "I's" at the Diocesan Speech Festival in 2006

Five Gehlen Catholic students have been selected for Opus (Junior High All State Choral Festival) to date

Marching Band competed at the 2005 Liberty & 2007 Alamo Bowls.
