Gehlen Athletics 2007-2008

Strength and Conditioning Program

Nov. 5-May 23

We have made tremendous gains in our program to date.  Congratulations to those that have made Strength and Conditioning a part of their athletic training.  It will soon be off-season for some and time for all athletes at Gehlen to commit to making themselves and their teams the best they can be.  In order to do this we offer the following program to you at no charge.

 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  6:30 - 7:30 a.m. Varsity football grades 9-11.  (Coach Gunter)
  3:30 - 4:30 p.m. For all athletes and alumni  (Randy Freking) 

 Tuesday, Thursday

 

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

On the Stage -

Plyos and Conditioning, this will get you prepared

for any sport.  This includes a great core building program.  All Gehlen athletes are encouraged to attend.  If you are a football player and not in a current sport you should attend!

Summer Strength and Conditioning Program

May 28 - August 8

Monday, Wednesday, Friday (grades are for 07-08 year)

 

 

7:00-8:00am

Varsity football grades 9-11.  (Coach Gunter)

 

 

8:00-8:45am

8th grade boys. 6th and 7th graders will participate

in an eight week readiness program.  Technique will be taught and no heavy weights will be allowed. Parent permission and physical required.  If they played a sport in 6th-8th grade they should have a physical on file.  (Coach Gunter)

 

 

8:45-9:30am

All female athletes, exc. Softball.(Coach Gunter)

 

 

5:00-6:00pm

This time is for any Gehlen athlete that can't make assigned times and alumni.  (Randy Freking)

Tuesday, Thursday

 

8:00-9:00am

This time reserved for Softball team. Plyos and Weightlifting.  (Coach Gunter and Hatting)  All girl athletes may attend.

 

 

4:00-5:00pm

Plyos and Conditioning, this will get you prepared for any sport.  All Gehlen athletes welcome.  (Coach Ellensohn)

     

Do not delay in getting physicals.  Take care of this early in the summer and turn them in immediately.
